Western Australia Coral Route (Self Drive)

Day 01: Perth - Geraldton     

Arrive at Perth International Airport and pickup vehicle from car rental agency. Stop at Badgingarra National Park, home to wildlife such as kangaroos, emus and wedge-tailed eagles,world's largest eucalypt flower, the mottlecash. Head straight to the beach for an afternoon swim and then buy dinner from the Geraldton Fish Market. Sleep at Ocean Centre Hotel, a four-star stay in the heart of town with oceanfront views and a coast-inspired decor. Overnight in Geralton. 

Day 02: Geraldton - Carnarvon 

Today check out from the hotel. Then begin the five-hour drive north, passing Kalbarri National Park on the. Later head to one Mile Jetty, part of Carnarvon’s heritage precinct or head further north to the spectacular Carnarvon blowholes, where the ocean jets up to 20 metres high. Finish the day snorkelling in Carnarvon’s calm coral-filled lagoon. Stay in one of the well-appointed deluxe suites at Coral Coast Tourist Park. Overnight in Carnarvon.

Day 03: Carnarvon - Exmouth 

Today check out from Hotel. Continue another four hours north to the township of Exmouth, which sits between the red cliffs of Cape Range National Park and the turquoise waters of Ningaloo Marine Park famous for swimming with whale sharks. In the evening, dine at Exmouth's yachting marina.Then bed down by the water at Mantarays Ningaloo Beach Resort. Overnight in Exmouth.

Day 04: Exmouth - Coral Bay 

Today check out from the Hotel. Half day exploring to Cape Range National Park with views of the spectacular Shothole Canyon and beyond to Exmouth Gulf. In the afternoon drive south to Coral Bay.Spend the night in local accommodation such as Bayview Coral Bay.

Day 05: Coral Bay - Denham (Shark Bay) 

Today check out from the Hotel. Drive south to Shark Bay World Heritage Area. Drive a little further to Shell Beach which, as the name suggests, is made up of billions of tiny shells instead of sand, and admire the beach's beautiful aqua water and bright white curve of beach.Stay overnight in the nearby town of Denham, where you can enjoy fantastically fresh seafood at local restaurant The Old Pearler. Stay at Oceanside Village.

Day 06: Denham (Shark Bay) - Monkey Mia (Shark Bay) 

From Denham, take a 30-minute drive to Monkey Mia, famous for the wild, bottlenose dolphins that visit the shallow waters here every day. Take your pick of riding a camel along Dolphin Beach, daily pelican feeding, or fishing for whiting, cod, snapper, mackerel and tuna. Learn about local Aboriginal culture and cook bush tucker on a campfire during the Didgeridoo Dreaming Night Tour. Overnight in Denham.

Day 07: Denham (Shark Bay) 

Spend the morning spotting manta rays, turtles and sharks at Skipjack Point before driving south to the dugong of Eagle Bluff. You can also soak in the property's on-site hot baths, which are fed by warm mineral water from a nearby artesian bore. The tour will return to your accommodation at approximately 4.45pm,  just in time for dinner at Shark Bay Hotel where you can enjoy more fresh local seafood. Overnight in Denham.

Day 08: Denham (Shark Bay) - Kalbarri 

Today check out from the Hotel. Continue on to the charming town of Kalbarri, a much-loved holiday destination for Western Australians 4 hours south by car. Kalbarri is located at the point where the picturesque Murchison River meets the Indian Ocean. Visit Rainbow Jungle, one of Australia's most beautiful parrot habitats. Finish the day with a sunset wilderness cruise down the Murchison river.Overnight in Kalbarri.

Day 09: Kalbarri

Today Spend the day bushwalking through the stunning Kalbarri National Park. Can also visit to Loop hike of 8 kms. The Four Ways Trail which starts at the pretty Z-Bend lookout. Evening spend at Kalbarri with experiencing some seafood shack and pizzeria. Overnight in Kalbarri.

Day 10: Kalbarri - Pinnacle 

Early check out from the hotel. Drive 4 hours south to Stockyard Gully National Park. From here, it's only one hour south to beautiful Jurien Bay,also here you can refuel with a selection of laid back eateries, such as Sandpiper Tavern and Pizzeria, Cervantes is a fishing village famous for its seafood. You can visit the Pinnacles at while the sunset offers one of the most impressive viewing experiences. Overnight at Pinnacle Edge resort.

Day 11: Perth - Homeward Bound 

Today check out from Hotel and drive to  Perth International Airport. Drop your vehicle to car rental agency at the airport and fly out.
