Arrive Tromso Airport, transfer to Hotel & Check-in. The rest of the day is kept free for leisure. Overnight in Tromso.
Day 02: Tromso • City Tour & Northern Lights Chase
Join our Historical City Walk to discover the secrets of the City of Tromsø and its century long history! On this tour, we cover the area of Tromsø within the original borders of 1794, from Strandtorget in the south, to Skansen in the north. In addition to a wealth of historical sites, we will also encounter statues, busts and murals, telling stories of people who crafted their destiny in the Arctic. A visit to one museum which brings their stories even closer to us, is included in the tour, and we will finish at one of the oldest and most authentic bars in town, which reflects the maritime heritage of our city. We might even see a polar bear, or two. But don’t worry, they won’t be hungry – in fact, they are quite stuffed. In the evening get ready for hunting Northern Lights. A mix of professional tour guides and experienced aurora hunters organize the Northern Lights Chase minute by minute that is conducted in small groups in minibuses. This makes the experience more genuine and intimate. This is a small group, outdoor tour, tailored specifically to explore the Arctic nature while you are hunting for the Northern Lights. The main purpose here is to give you an authentic experience of the countryside outside of Tromsø while you are admiring the Aurora Borealis. Overnight in Tromso.
Day 03: Tromso • Polar Whale Safari
Today, Come and experience the great creatures of the deep Seas. The coast of Northern Norway is the prime area for spotting whales. Humpback whales and killer whales often come close to the boat to check what is happening as they are very curious. Catch a glimpse of other animals on the tour, such as sea eagles and all sorts of birds. Whale watching happens from November to middle of January when they come up to Northern Norway to feed on herring. Remember to bring your camera, as there is a good chance for fantastic photo opportunities. Evening time take a walk around the city on own. Overnight in Tromso.
Day 04: Tromso • Dog Sledding and Polaria visit.
Join us dogsledding on Kvaløya; one of Norway’s largest islands and see great views of the mountains surrounding Tromsø towards the Balsford and Malangen peninsula. With about one hour of dogsledding you also have a chance to meet our 300 four legged friends. everyone will have a sled.After a ride through the Norwegian tundra we’ll provide you with a hearty meal of Bidos and it will be served in the traditional Gamme. Later make your own way to the Polaria - the world's most northerly aquarium, here you will experience bearded seals and harbour seals, catfish and tiny sharks up close, and you will get to know and feel the different species that move across the ocean floor. Day 05: Tromso • Snowmobile Safari
Today proceed to enjoy the Snowmobile Safari (to enjoy this tour one can required international driving license). Take a snowmobile safari which gives you the opportunity to venture far into the wilderness. Experience the mountains of the far north. Upon arrival at the wilderness centre of Camp Tamok, we provide you with all the warm clothes and shoes necessary. We begin the adventure with a thorough safety introduction and practical demonstration (click here for instructions). You don´t need any previous skills to drive a snowmobile, all you need is normal physical condition. Evening time is free to explore the city on own. Overnight in Tromso.
Day 06: Tromso • Cable Car • Reindeer Sledding with Northern Light

Today proceed to enjoy the Tromso Cable Car. The Cable Car is Tromsø’s most popular tourist destination. Ride up the famous Fjellheisen gondola to take in the breath-taking view of Tromsø and its surrounding mountains and islands. From the large outdoor terrace, you can enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of Tromsø and the virtually endless sight of islands, fjords, mountains and the open sea. If you look in the other direction, you will see the majestic mountain Tromsdalstinden, which towers 1,238 m above sea level. In winter it’s an ideal place for hunting the magical Northern Lights. Tonight, you can opt for an option of Night reindeer sledding with dinner and northern lights chasing tour. Proceed to Reindeer Camp where you can feed the wild reindeer and walk around the camp followed by a reindeer sledding ride. Enjoy Hot drinks around the fire inside a warm candle lit gamme (Traditional Sami Hut) & A cold smoked salmon starter, followed by a bidos and Sami bread, Chocolate cake and blue berry dessert while listening to storytelling of Sami Culture and how it is to be a reindeer herder, A joik performance (traditional Sami folk song) and northern lights chasing. Day 07: Tromso • Helicopter Ride and RIB Boat Excursion.
You can opt for the Helicopter Ride around the Tromso Island. Fly around the whole island and you will receive exclusive guiding in English about many of the history of Tromsø, the city’s landmarks and significant buildings. You will fly over the landmark Arctic Cathedral and other attractions, and even fly over the upper station of the Tromsø Cable Car. Among many highlights, you will fly over the highest mountain near the city, Tromsdalstind (1,238 m above sea level). From this height, you will get a glimpse of the world-renowned Lyngen Alps, home to year- round adventures such as extreme skiing, glacier walking and mountain climbing. You can also opt for RIB Boat Excursion: Exploring the Arctic fjords is an amazing experience that one should experience while in the far north. This tour offers the perfect combination between a thrilling experience at sea, and a short history lesson alongside the opportunity to spot wildlife such as seabirds, eagles, and sometimes seals or porpoises (small whales in the size of a dolphin). We don’t always see the mammals inside the fjords where this tour navigates, but the stunning nature and fast paced experience is a really appreciated. Overnight in Tromso.
Day 08: Tromso • Local Home Visits
After seeing the Aurora Borealis, mountains, fjords and other spectacular natural phenomenon from Northern Norway, you might start to wonder about the people living here? Who are they? How do they live? Here you can experience and enjoy the same while visiting Local home visits. Welcome to my home is a different home visit where you will get an exclusive performance especially made for this occasion. The experience you will get will vary from home to home depending on the artists who live there. However, all visits will focus on introducing you to the life in the Arctic. Those who open their home doors are dancers, actors and visual artists. All of them will tell you what their home means to them, present you the people living there and show you their home. You will also hear several stories about living in the Arctic. Except this you can enjoy the snow activities like Skiing, Snow shoeing and so on. Overnight in Tromso.
Day 09: Tromso • Homeward Bound
Today check-out from the hotel & transfer to the Tromso airport to take your flight back home.
