Download This ItineraryDay 1: Arrive in New York City
Arrival in New York. On arrival pick up your campervan. Later experience New York’s iconic landmark, Times Square, by evening. Overnight near New York. Camp Sites: Hither Hills State Park, Rip Van Winkle Campgrounds, Wildwood State Park, Minnewaska State Park Preserve, North-South Lake Campground, Fahnestock State Park.
Day 2: New York • Statue of Liberty
Proceed with your vehicle proceed to explore United Nations Headquarters, Trump Tower, Central Park, Rockefeller Centre, Madison Square, The National 9/11 Memorial & Museum, Manhattan, drive past Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges, Fifth Avenue, Greenwich Village, Battery Park Wall Street, Ground Zero, Times Square, United Nations and visit the One World Trade Centre. Later take a boat cruise to Liberty Island to view 'The Statue of Liberty' where you will go to the top floor and enjoy a spectacular view of New York City and its skyline. Overnight near New York.
Day 3: Atlantic City
Beaches, boardwalks and entertainment combine to make Atlantic City, a kind of fun capital of the East Coast. After breakfast take an excursion to Atlantic City and then you can explore the various casinos like Borgata, Caesars, Bally’s, Golden Nugget, etc. Also, you can explore various scavenger hunt games in the city. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight near Atlantic City. Camp Sites: Nature Retreat, RV site on Horse Farm, Abbot Sawmill.
Day 4: Philadelphia
Proceed to Philadelphia and enjoy some famous places like Independence Hall, the famous Liberty Bell and the National Constitution Centre, Eastern State Penitentiary, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Betsy Ross House, One Liberty Observation Deck, National Museum of American Jewish History, etc. giving a glimpse of the city. Overnight near Philadelphia. Camp Sites: Creekside Camping, Over The Rainbow, The Woods @ Murray Grove
Day 5: Lancaster
Lancaster, Pennsylvania, is where you’ll find the greatest concentration of Amish. These people trace their heritage back hundreds of years to Dutch immigrants that came over in the 1720s. There are actually more than 25 different types of Amish, including the Mennonites, Old Order Amish, and the Brethren, and they still live and work much as their forefathers did. Be respectful and they’ll welcome you with open arms. Overnight in Lancaster. Camp Sites: Mill Bridge Village Camp Resort, Elizabethtown / Hershey KOA, Spring Gulch RV Campground
Day 6: Shenandoah National Park
Proceed in your vehicle to explore the capital city and discover the beauty and majesty of Washington DC. The awe-inspiring structures, statues, from the Lincoln Memorial, Georgetown, Washington National Cathedral, the White House, the museums of the Smithsonian Institution and Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial, Pentagon building, and Washington Monument traces the history of the USA. Later exploring the place surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains, this expansive valley is anchored by Shenandoah National Park and is home to picture-postcard towns, wineries, and historic landmarks. In Luray Caverns, you will find nature’s unique phenomena of stalactites and stalagmites which will surely amaze you and make an addition to the memories. Overnight at Shenandoah National Park. Campsites: Loft Mountain Campground, Big Meadows Campground, Mathews Arm Campground.
Day 7: Hershey – Corning
After breakfast proceed with your vehicle to the Pennsylvania Capitol building in Harrisburg to marvel at the glorious dome inspired by Michelangelo’s design for St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. Also, enjoy the famous Hershey’s Chocolate World where you can experience the chocolate making session. Proceed to the city which is known as America's Crystal City, Corning has long been at the forefront of all things glass, from innovative technology to the remarkable creations found at The Corning Museum of Glass, the world's largest museum of glass art and artefacts. Corning’s Gaffer District—named after a gaffer or master glassblower—is home to over 100 boutique shops, art galleries, studios, as well as craft beverage producers, restaurants serving fabulous food, and two world-class museums. Day 8: Niagara Falls
Recognized as the oldest state park in the United States. Enjoy a thrilling boat ride of the world-famous Maid of The Mist. This tour takes you closer to the falls and allows them to have the experience of a lifetime. The next adventure of the day is the Cave of the Winds, which is a walking tour of the Bridal Veil Falls. Camp Sites: Aa Royal Motel & Campground, Daisy Barn Campground, Four Mile Creek State Park Campground, Niagara Falls Campground & Lodging.
Day 9: Finger Lakes
Get a bird’s-eye view of this place via your road atlas and you’ll immediately want to check it out. These 11 long, thin lakes make for a great first stop once you escape the traffic of New York City. Take a quick dip in one of the lakes, try your hand at fishing, or just hike around the rolling hills–you’ll immediately feel like the “other” New York is light years behind you. Stopover in Ithaca, New York, to check out one of the most idyllic college towns in the USA. An old hippy enclave from the 60s, you’ll fit right in by telling people you’re road tripping across the United States and sleeping in your vehicle every night. Overnight in Finger Lakes. Day 10: New York
Proceed to explore Manhattan, drive past Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges, United Nations Headquarters, Trump Tower, Central Park, Rockefeller Centre, Madison Square, The National 9/11 Memorial & Museum, Fifth Avenue, Greenwich Village, Battery Park Wall Street, Ground Zero, Times Square, United Nations and visit the One World Trade Centre. Overnight near New York.
Day 11: Homeward Bound
It’s time to say goodbye to the mesmerizing tour that you’ve had. Pack your bags with loads of memories, drop your rental at the airport and fly out.
